What are the different System modes that I can set for my thermostat?

  • AUTO: The thermostat will automatically switch between Heat and Cool requests depending on if space temperature is below the heat setpoint or above cool setpoint.
  • HEAT: Thermostat will call for heat when space temperature is below heat setpoint.
  • COOL: Thermostat will call for cool when space temperature is above cool setpoint.
  • OFF: The thermostat is turned Off and will not request Cool or Heat.
Tip: The Auto setting is the most common since the thermostat will automatically manage the space based on the selected heat and cool temperature settings. This prevents you from having to manually switch the thermostat between the heat and cool modes.

How do I set and adjust active Heat and Cool setpoints?

  1. From the Pelican Web-App home menu, select the Climate Control Group where your thermostat is located.
  2. Next, select the (Thermostat).
  3. Select the System mode.
    1. If in Cool mode, the Cool Setting setpoint slide will become available.
    2. If the Heat mode, the Heat Setting setpoint slide will become available.
    3. If set to Auto mode, both Heat and Cool setpoint sliders will be available to adjust.
  4. Select and hold the slider to set your Heat and Cool setpoints.
Note: There must be a minimum three (3) degree deadband between the heat and cool setpoints. For example, if the Cool Setpoint is set to 70° and the Heat Setpoint is changed to 68°, the Pelican system will auto-correct this to maintain the three-degree deadband.

Where do I read my current Space Temperature, as well as the Heat and Cool setpoints?

Your Pelican thermostat records the current temperature in your space in real-time. It can be viewed at Thermostat Settings level, as well as the Heat or Cool Settings while the thermostat is in standby mode.

This data can also be viewed on the Thermostat’s History Graphs:

  1. From the Pelican Web-App home menu, select the Climate Control Group where your thermostat is located.
  2. Next, select the (Thermostat).
  3. Select History Graphs.
  4. Review the Space Temperature Graph to see your current space temperature.
